STP enables the youth to remain in their hometowns while pursuing higher education. It focuses on the more disadvantaged segment of society with the goal of lowering rural to urban migration and creating jobs in the rural communities.

Every year, approximately 800 students living in remote areas are provided with daily transportation to institutes of higher learning.
