The Georges N. Frem Manufacturing Technologies Hub was established at the American University of Beirut in 2014, fulfilling late Georges N. Frem’s last wish.

The 1500-square-meter floor in the Faculty of Engineering is dedicated to science, innovation and to the Founder’s belief in young talents’ development.

The Hub includes a meeting and projects room, a mobile robotics and computer vision laboratory, a mechanical design laboratory, a mechatronics laboratory, a design for manufacturing laboratory, a control and robotics Laboratory, an instrumentation laboratory and an intelligent systems laboratory.
